Cookie Policy
Effective Date: [TBD upon publication] Last Updated: 2026-06-27 Version: 1.0 (Draft · CN entity / Paddle MoR)
This Cookie Policy explains how Hangzhou Wanxiang Xunsheng Technology Co., Ltd. (杭州万像循声科技有限公司) (“the Company”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our marketing and account-management website (the “Website”). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
This Policy covers the Website only. The SoundSeeker desktop application does not place tracking cookies on your device for marketing or analytics purposes.
1. What Are Cookies?
A “cookie” is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. We use the word “cookies” in this Policy to refer to all of them collectively.
Cookies can be:
- First-party — set by us, the Website operator.
- Third-party — set by an external service we embed (for example, an analytics provider).
They can also be:
- Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies — kept for a defined period (we list the duration below).
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
We group cookies into the standard categories below. Strictly necessary cookies are always active; all other categories require your consent (in the EEA, UK, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, and other jurisdictions with similar rules) or your right to opt out (in California and other jurisdictions with similar rules).
2.1 Strictly Necessary (always active)
Required for the Website to function and for you to use core features such as signing in, holding your shopping cart, or remembering language preferences. These cannot be switched off.
| Cookie name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__ss_session | Maintains your sign-in session | First-party, HTTP-only, Secure | Session |
__ss_csrf | Prevents cross-site request forgery | First-party, Secure | Session |
__ss_consent | Records your cookie preferences | First-party | 12 months |
__ss_locale | Remembers your language choice (en / ja / ko) | First-party | 12 months |
__ss_cart | Holds items in your purchase cart | First-party | 7 days |
2.2 Analytics (consent / opt-out)
Help us understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve it. We configure analytics to minimize personal data (IP anonymization, no cross-site identification).
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes unique users (random ID) | 13 months |
_ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics 4 | Session state | 13 months |
If you decline analytics in our consent banner (or if we detect a Global Privacy Control signal), we do not load these cookies.
2.3 Marketing (consent / opt-out — currently empty)
We do not currently use marketing cookies. If we introduce them in the future, we will update this Policy and ask for your consent before placing them.
3. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences
3.1 Our preference center
At the bottom of every page on the Website, you will find a “Cookie preferences” link. You can change your choices at any time. Your selection is honored on subsequent visits via the __ss_consent cookie.
3.2 Browser settings
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may impair the Website (for example, you may not be able to stay signed in).
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
3.3 Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where it is enabled in your browser. When we detect GPC, we treat it as a request to opt out of analytics and any future “sale” or “share” of personal information under the CCPA / CPRA.
We do not currently respond to legacy “Do Not Track” headers because no industry standard for that signal exists.
3.4 Opt out at the provider level
You can also opt out of Google Analytics globally using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
4. Legal Basis Summary
| Category | Mainland China (PIPL) | EEA / UK (GDPR + ePrivacy) | California (CCPA / CPRA) | Japan (APPI) | Korea (PIPA) |

5. Children
The Website is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through cookies. See the Privacy Policy, Section 8.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. For material changes (for example, adding a new category of cookies), we will re-prompt for consent where required.
