- What is SoundSeeker?
- SoundSeeker is an AI sound-search desktop app for sound designers, film and game teams, and music creators. Describe a sound in plain language and it surfaces the closest matches from your own audio library — it listens to the audio itself, not just filenames. It also does sound-to-sound similarity search and connects to tools like Pro Tools and Wwise.
- Does SoundSeeker include a sound library?
- No. SoundSeeker is software only — you bring your own audio assets, or use the free starter pack. We don't sell sound effects and we don't take a cut of your work. Your library stays entirely yours and is indexed locally on your machine.
- Is it search, or does it generate audio?
- It's search. SoundSeeker finds existing sounds in your library that match what you describe. It does not generate, synthesize, or create new audio.
- Which platforms and DAWs are supported?
- Native apps run on macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows 10/11. Integrations are live with Pro Tools and Wwise, with more (Nuendo, Reaper, Logic Pro, FMOD, and video editors) rolling out. Search itself works fully offline.
- How does pricing work?
- Personal and Tools are one-time buy-outs — pay once, own that version. Teams are scoped with sales — get in touch and we'll quote based on seat count and deployment needs. Every download includes a 14-day full trial with no credit card required.
- How do I activate after I buy?
- Right after purchase, your license key is emailed to you. Open the app and enter the key to activate — no separate account is needed at launch. Accounts and sign-in arrive in a later update.
- What about refunds?
- Refunds are handled per our Terms of Service. Reach out to support@soundseeker.ai with your order details and we'll help. Because checkout is processed by our Merchant of Record, your receipt and any refund are managed through them.
- Is my data private?
- Your audio library is indexed and searched locally — it doesn't leave your machine for search. We collect only what's needed to run the service and bill you. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
- How is SoundSeeker different from a traditional sound browser?
- Traditional tools match on filenames and tags you maintain by hand. SoundSeeker adds a layer of AI that understands the audio itself, so you can find a sound by describing it — even when you never tagged it.
